BRONCO PARENT VOLUNTEER POLICY

Volunteer Philosophy

Roseville Jr Sports is run entirely by volunteers. The board members work year-round to ensure the organization is ready for the season, a majority are GM’s and coaches as well. Football and Cheer coaches devote countless hours before, during and after the season to our program. It takes approximately 75 parents to run one home game day and another 24 for each away game. To maintain our program’s success, volunteering is a required part of our program for parents and guardians of all athletes.

Volunteer Requirements

At July paperwork hand in, each family is required to make a volunteer commitment deposit. This deposit will be $200 per family. We recommend writing a check over leaving cash deposit. This check can be returned to you when commitments are completed.

  • Each family is required to work (2) 2hr volunteer shifts.
  • In seasons when the Roseville Broncos host OMYFA Playoff or Cheer Off events (2026-2031), an additional shift will be required for each family during the postseason event.
  • The parent or guardian who is listed as the main point of contact in the registration system (the person who registers the child) is responsible for the family’s volunteer requirement. This person is responsible for ensuring that each volunteer shift is fulfilled by a family member or friend of the family 18 years or older.
  • Each shift is the duration of a game. Arriving more than 15 minutes late or leaving early will result in the shift being counted as missed. If you are running late, contact the Volunteer Coordinator immediately.
  • Families of board members, coaches, and other approved coordinator positions are not required to make a volunteer commitment deposit and will be considered to have met volunteer requirements for the season.

Procedures for Incomplete Volunteer Requirement

  • The Volunteer Coordinator will track the completion of all volunteer shifts.
  • After the last regular season game, any family that has not completed the volunteer requirements, the volunteer deposit will not be returned and cashed.
  • If your Volunteer Deposit check is returned for any reason, you will forfeit your athlete’s right to play in the next scheduled game/event, attend the banquet, and/or their returning player status for the next season.
  • Returning Player Status for the following season will only be granted to those athletes who end the season in good standing by having all volunteer requirements met by their families.
  • If a family has been granted a scholarship for the season and they do not complete the volunteer requirements, they will not be eligible for a scholarship the following season.
